Another one of my favorite Asterix films, mainly because they beautifully poke fun at the Britons throughout the whole movie. It's funny, it breaks stereotypes, and moreover, it still has a story where the Romans fit in nicely, and the whole narrative is essentially a celebration of food and drink, even if it might be a celebration in a somewhat negative sense of the word. ()
The only one of all the Asterix films that is a quality adaptation of a storybook adventure. Smart, yet understandable humour, this time spiced with a pinch of English dry humour. ()
Fantastic! This is exactly what true animated entertainment should look like. If the poor Gauls had any idea how the Brits can spoil even a delicious boar, they would not have gone to their aid at all. Fortunately, they didn't and I was able to witness not only a series of unforgettable catchphrases and fights, but even the toughest rugby match in history, which I will truly never forget. ()
