Englisch In the first half I found it quite annoying and boring, a bunch of idiots to a man, and I found no viewer satisfaction in it, in the sense that it wasn’t in any way suspenseful, funny or satirical. Fortunately, the final third or so is much better, when only four of those assholes are left and they argue about shit in the face of the corpses around them, so there is already some well-intentioned barb towards Gen Z and their "problems". The reveal of the mystery was excellent, although I thought it would be something along those lines while watching it. ()

Englisch The new “slasher” flick from studio A24 didn't quite turn out as I expected. It was clear that A24 was going to try a different approach to the genre, and while I was hoping that this would be a modern variation on Scream, I was sorely mistaken. A group of rich teenagers play a game during a hurricane that has some pretty fatal consequences as they try to figure out who the killer is. They're all high, they all have mental disorders and problems, the characters are very unlikeable and impossible to root for, the humor is absent, and there's no gore to speak of either. As a horror slasher film it fails on almost all fronts, but as a murder mystery it's pretty OK, it escalates quite interestingly in the final minutes and has quite an unusual twist, but I can't say that it shocked or thrilled me outright. It drags a lot at times, for me a weaker effort from A24. Millennials might like it, though. 4/10. ()

Englisch Probably not as tragic as I expected based on the reviews, but for how anticipated this film was and how good a material it has at its disposal, it's a pretty weak concoction and wasted potential. A group of friends go to a cabin for the weekend and, in addition to cocaine and alcohol, they play "Bodies, Bodies, Bodies". Only one of them is a killer not only in the game, but in real life, and so as the bodies pile up, the group gets closer to uncovering the killer. The idea is fine, the actresses are likeable, the visuals are initially engaging and it has that fine movie vibe that can draw you in. I'd even go as far as to say that the first half is a pretty promising start and keeps your attention, but the second half is noticeably worse. Towards the end, the film seems to lose its idea, the characters just shout, pulling old dirt on each other that is completely irrelevant to the plot, and the whole thing collapses and falls apart without a shred of effort or final invention. It's a shame, for sure, but I can't say that I suffered from the film in any way. In short, an average, forgettable middle ground that doesn't impress. Fortunately, at least the ending leaves with a smile on your lips with its little twist. ()

Englisch I went into this movie fully expecting a disaster, given its theme. The plot unfolded just as I anticipated: dumb and pathetic. However, something unexpected occurred when the four characters' sheer lack of brainpower had me chuckling at their nonsensical grasp of logic and reality. By the end, I was nearly in stitches. So, to sum it up: definitely not a horror flick, more like a feeble attempt at a thriller fueled by human folly. In the end, it was so bizarre that I had to give it at least two stars. / Lesson learned: Youth + drugs + politically correct thinking = a lethal combination. ()
