Hier ist einer dieser wenigen Fälle, in denen die Vorhersehbarkeit des Geschehens vorausgesetzt wird und überhaupt nicht stört, im Gegenteil, betont den Gesamtpunkt der Geschichte. Kameramäßig und im Verhalten der Charaktere sehr bizarr. (01.12.2022)

A very disturbing metaphor of contemporary society (it would be hard to find a more horrific setting than this women's group, to be sure), shot with Juraj Herz-like cinematography and played to perfection by Kate Miccuci – her final look into the camera made me really want to applaud her. First of all, a real flight from the series of stories Cabinet of Curiosities. An ironic look at today's consumer world. The main character is weird, has eyes like two grapes, and hobbies that don't fit in at all in an American small town, especially not among women. Taxidermy is not speaking ill of others, let's face it. And this character, perfectly played by Kate Micucci, gets a cream that is supposed to improve her appearance...and things start happening. It has a chance to satirize society, but to me it just seemed absurd. (07.11.2022)
