Three Pines - Ein Fall für Inspector Gamache

It's a fact that nowadays you expect some kind of wow plot as a standard from TV series productions. So when a new detective series appears with an interesting actor - here Alfred Molina - you count on the fact that something will constantly unfold in the eight episodes. But here it's done in an old-fashioned way, so Armand Gamache played by Alfred Molina, is tucked away in the town of Three Pines, somewhere in the mountains in Canada. Besides the main story, which unfolds throughout the series and becomes less and less interesting over time, individual murders are mainly solved here, each starting in one episode and being resolved in the next. However, the series is strong with its excellent camera capturing the beautiful nature and the soundtrack that works with very good music, which I had to look up more than once. Otherwise, it's a total relaxing piece, which was not a waste of time and I would gladly continue watching it. (29.08.2023)
