Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday are great characters, but it certainly helped them when Lancaster took Earp under his wing and Kirk Douglas got a shot at Doc, who is once again absolutely irresistible. Their joint, albeit quite different, campaign is thrilling, full of emotions, and in the end, there is even some serious shooting.

To the old westerns, I have been finding my way in the form of a regular Sunday evening with ČT2 in recent weeks, and although it is an unfamiliar genre for me, I quite enjoy these stories. The Gunfight at the O.K. Corral is a great piece. At first, it doesn't seem like it when the mistress Doca starts performing unbelievable emotional theater. She starts with threats, kicks Doc in the ass, saying she's no longer interested in him. When Doc doesn't even flinch, she starts brutally screwing with him, and when Doca gets bored and the mistress becomes fawning, she ruthlessly puts her in her place. But then Kirk Douglas as Doc meets Burt Lancaster and it's manly fun at full throttle, and at that moment, I was entertained too. Well, at least until Doc's mistress or any other woman appears again. Women didn't have much luck with this theme, that's for sure.
