Nach seinem Collegeabschluss jobbt Harold in einem Büro und lässt sich von seinen Kollegen schamlos ausnutzen. Sein Mitbewohner Kumar sollte eigentlich Medizin studieren und in die Fußstapfen von Vater und Brüdern treten, interessiert sich aber mehr für Partys und Mädels. Als er eines Abends enormen Appetit auf Burger verspürt, überredet er seinen Kumpel Harold, seine Arbeit stehen und liegen zu lassen und mit ihm einen ungeahnt abenteuerlichen Trip durch die Nacht zu starten. Der Fäkalhumor ist erträglich, der Film hat einen erfrischenden intellektuellen Charakter, was mich überrascht hat. Das mit dem "Drehen der Welt" ist eine sehr vereinfachte Weltanschauung, letztendlich ist es aber wahr. Und hier ist es den Autoren gelungen, diese Sache in einen Film über zwei junge Kiffer, die auf dem Weg in ein Hamburger-Restaurant sind, einzugliedern. Und es wirkt nicht peinlich. Eindeutig ein Sieg!

I can't remember the last time I hated myself so much for my review. But what to do with a film whose raw portrayal of the relationship between a young up-and-coming Indo-American man and a six-foot-tall sack of hash brings tears to your eyes over the fact that there are bigger idiots in the world than you. If the movie had an hour more, I'd go for five stars, because by then nothing matters anyway.

This is one of those movies that you tend to avoid, but you simply have to see it one day. The characters aren't particularly well-developed, but the story is delightfully quirky, with excellent supporting roles and genuinely funny moments. Short, to the point, and entertaining. I didn't expect much and didn't get a completely amazing comedy, but as a stoner comedy, it's still excellent even after ten years and countless similar comedies.
