A very successful film, where at first it seems like just a bit of stretched drama full of dialogue, but once Dirk Bogarde fully engages in his performance, it works, and it becomes very intense, especially in comparison to the character portrayed by Leslie Caron. It's not as naive as it seems, but I was expecting a bigger impact at the end. ()
