I don't know if I was moved because it's based on a true story or because of the way it's presented. Either way, I have no doubt that AnnaSophia Robb is a great actress. I'm pleased beyond measure with the cinematography and the choice of supporting characters. It is supercharged by the surfing feats and the fantastic music that adds the perfect tone to every situation. Fortunately, the film does not succumb to melancholy. It oozes energy, competitiveness, and determination. In a way, it is also a great motivation. My compliments. (04.11.2011)

Long time I haven't seen a story based on truth and so I was looking forward to Soul Surfer. It made me really happy, especially in the end. It's a story about a girl who overcame fate and showed that she wants to live...and I find that terribly sympathetic. The whole movie I terribly wished her to be happy and for that, I also wished for a decent bunch of good actors like Helen Hunt, Kevin Sorbo, Dennis Quaid or the main actress AnnaSophia Robb. It's really a joy to watch such films. Even though you know what such a film entails, you experience it with them every minute. So in case you have some feelings, you are not indifferent and heartless. Because those can also be found. (22.01.2012)
