Für Pizzabote Nick ist das eintönige Leben jäh zu Ende. Bei der Lieferung an eine entlegene Adresse gerät er in die Fänge zweier durchgeknallter Ganoven: Dwayne und Travis überwältigen ihn und legen ihm einen ferngesteuerten Bombengürtel an. Erst wenn er innerhalb von zehn Stunden eine Bank ausraubt und ihnen die Beute überbringt, bekommt er den Code, um diesen wieder ablegen zu können. Andernfalls fliegt er mit Sicherheit in die Luft. Panisch eilt Nick zu seinem Kumpel Chet und fleht ihn um Hilfe an. Ein turbulenter Wettlauf gegen die Zeit beginnt. (ORF)

When Danny R. McBride is in a movie, I’m usually having a blast. When he’s not? The film tends to lose me. Luckily, at just 80 minutes, this one’s short enough to get through without too much trouble. That said, you can’t rely solely on Danny to carry the humor, and 30 Minutes or Less proves that point pretty well. It has its moments, but it’s clear the comedy needed more than just him to truly shine.

Once upon a time, mainly at the turn of the millennium, so many “black humor heist movies with multiple interested parties" were made that I had simply had enough. But now almost no such movies are made any more, and so snacks like this are a welcome change, but a few years ago it would have gone unnoticed in the mass of similar pieces. They could have got more from the theme, but I enjoyed it. But I must admit, I would have enjoyed it a little more without that Indian (no offense).

A couple of great scenes are interspersed by just awful filler; at least (thank god) there are lots of great lines. Eisenberg is wonderful, but his Indian pal not so much. Danny McBride is wonderful, but his American pal not so much. Nice to see you too, Dad. Love you so much. Fuck that dick.
