Abgang mit Stil

Eine Komödie, die heutzutage in den Kinos leider nur kaum jemand erwarten würde. Die drei Haupthelden sowie die anderen Figuren sind ausgezeichnet. Im Film gibt es viele Witze (nicht alle betreffen das Alter oder Krankheiten), dabei ist es aber eine menschlich gefühlvolle Geschichte. Der Film hat eine vernünftige Länge, einen tollen Soundtrack und eine verspielte Regie, dank der das alles vom Anfang bis zum Ende Schwung hat. Außerdem ist es der Geschichte gelungen, ein paar größte Klischees zu meiden (und wenn es sie im Film doch gibt, werden sie sehr witzig herabgesetzt). Ich bin zufrieden und muss sagen, dass ich mich vor der großen Leinwand schon lange nicht mehr so gut amüsiert habe. (21.04.2017)

Abgang mit Stil ist eine entspannende Komödie mit einer enorm hochwertigen Besetzung, deren Haupttrio die Leinwand voll auskostet. Es folgt einem Weg, den man sich wahrscheinlich vollständig vorstellen kann, aber es unterhält sehr gut, bringt mehrmals zum Lachen und vergeht sehr schnell. Der ideale Film zum Entspannen. I loved the old-timer gang in this movie. Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Alan Arkin and Christopher Lloyd are exactly the people this movie is worth watching for. Other than that, it’s a good old bank heist movie which are a dime a dozen. I don’t mean that in a bad way, it just could’ve used a little bit more fun. This way the grandpas enjoyed a little bit of adrenaline with a moral subtext, but that’s about it. Similar comedies tend to be more amusing than this… (31.08.2018)

A pretty nice story that highlights the problem of today's retirees. The acting is spot on, especially Michael Caine is excellent, but I didn't like the humour and the pace is rather tepid. It's not the ideal type of film I seek out, but it's okay for one viewing. 60% (15.07.2017)

I was looking forward to this film quite a lot because of the cast, but it failed to live up to my expectations. The writing was as shallow as lake Balaton even though the theme had a lot of potential. Well, it was a flop and the film was incredibly draggy and predictable. The three stars go to the three gentlemen in the lead roles and the immortal Ann-Margret. (29.08.2017)

It's nice to take a break from all the action-packed, "over-the-top" films and enjoy something where you can laugh at a few normal jokes and experience an excellent story with an unusually crafted plot. The main trio of actors is a clear guarantee of quality, and it proves that they are far from being past their prime. Without this trio, I can’t imagine the film having that extra spark. As I mentioned, there are also a few moments to smile at (the supermarket scene is fantastic, as are the individual interrogations after the heist). It's obvious that the idea of three retired men robbing a bank is quite exaggerated, but why not? Today, there are so many crazy themes that this one still feels within the bounds of normalcy. The soundtrack surprised me because it was perfectly chosen and sounded really good. The ending got me, as all three of them came out scot-free (but having everything so perfectly planned without a single flaw deserves applause, especially the detective's face when all three gave their alibis for the time of the bank robbery, and he couldn’t prove anything against them). It's a great film that is simple, but sometimes simple is better than anything else. I give it 78%. (27.07.2017)

This trio simply could not disappoint. They are all such great actors, and with the addition of others who appear here, this simply had to be a film that would entertain the audience, impress them, but above all, allow them to empathize with the characters and their behavior. It happened, and I'm leaving with a pleasant experience from watching it. (29.08.2017)
