Eine Gruppe von Kunsträubern will innerhalb von exakt 105 Minuten einen legendären Schatz aus dem Safe der Bank of Spain in Madrid rauben. Weshalb 105 Minuten? Weil sie den Coup während des Fußball-Weltmeisterschaft-Finales 2010 durchführen, in dem Spanien gegen die Niederlande antritt - und das Public Viewing direkt vor dem Bankgebäude die perfekte Ablenkung ist ... Englisch The fans of Money Heist who are anxiously awaiting Season 5 will be delighted with The Vault as we take another look at the National Bank of Spain. Jaume Balagueró, who was in solid horror form ten years ago, but hasn't made anything decent since Sleep Tight in 2011, and even though I'd rather see a new horror film from him, I'm happy with this one as well. I do like heist films and The Vault is definitely a nicely made, stylish, suspenseful, well acted and clever thriller full of interesting ideas. The set-up itself is admittedly more suspenseful than the actual heist, which probably shouldn't be the case, but I had a good time. 7.5/10. ()

Englisch Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but in this genre, I’d rather prefer procedural pornography like a quiet operation over a brawl between men, watching Belmondo and Sharif as they hunt for the loot, or Caan’s honest work as a thief with a blowtorch, rather than this Charlie and the factory of heist clichés. Protagonists guided by walkie-talkies and hacked cameras, last-second rescues, guards suspicious and helpless, the futile chase of Danny’s elegance, and Jesuits warming their hands over Murphy’s laws. After all, what kind of heist is it when its success depends on Iniesta's right hand? ()
