In the 50s, János has been put in prison for political reasons. His wife, Luca, who is faithfully waiting for her husband, creates an environment for his mother in which she believes that his son is shooting a film in America, that he is happy, and found the purpose of his life. Letters are coming from America, and the old woman remembers Janos's childhood years with pride, evoking more and more of her memories. The external world, from where Luca enters the world of the old woman with small presents, is threatening, wrapped up in silence, and a friendly conversation reveals that Luca had better divorce her husband for her security's sake. One day János is released, Luca meets him with devoted love and tells him about his mother's death. (Verleiher-Text)
