Biografie
Diego Lerman has competed in San Sebastian with Una especie de familia / A Sort of Family (Jury Prize for Best Screenplay, 2017) and El suplente / The Substitute (Silver Shell for Best Supporting Performance, 2022), selected for the Co-Production Forum in 2019. With his debut feature, Tan de repente / Suddenly (2002), he landed the Silver Leopard at the Locarno Festival. This was followed by Mientras tanto (2006), screened in the Giornate degli Autori in Venice and the documentary Servicios prestados (2007), screened in Locarno. La mirada invisible / The Invisible Eye (2010) and Refugiado (2014) premiered in the Quinzaine des Cinéastes at Cannes and competed in Horizontes Latinos. He has also directed the TV series La casa (2015). He was a member of the Kutxabank-New Directors Award Jury in 2018.
